Paula and Johnny's Album Posted!

The first draft of Paula and Johnny's wedding album is reading for viewing! I think it really turned out beautifully! I can't wait to see the album in its printed form as I think it will be very impressive! Note that after following the link, below the slideshow of the album is the proposed cover design. Enjoy!

Sanyi and Suzy's Pre-Allie Portraits

Our good friends Sanyi and Suzy are due (okay, actually overdue) any day now and they asked me to take a few pictures of them before Allie arrives. Luckily we live near some scenic vineyards (which was probably pretty cruel of me to ask Suzy to stand near since she enjoys good wine as much as I do and obviously hasn't been able to join me lately). Stay tuned for pictures of Allie after the much-anticipated birth... we'll be doing a first-year baby book!

Lucy and Ryan's Album Posted!

The first cut of Lucy and Ryan's wedding album is ready for viewing! I'm really happy with how it turned out. There were so many great pictures it really made the process difficult yet easy at the same time. Note that last two pages are the same set of pictures but with a completely different feel. I couldn't decide which I preferred so I posted both. Enjoy!

Kristen & Ashley's Graduation Portraits

This past weekend Jen and I visited the University of the Pacific to photograph graduation portraits for Kristen and Ashley. Both are graduating in a couple weeks and already have very promising careers lined-up!

What a gorgeous campus! Perfect for portraits (and I'm told lots of weddings).

Johnny and Paula's Wedding Pictures

As I mentioned in my last post, Jen and I are back from vacation and I was able to get a lot accomplished this weekend. I'm happy to report that Johnny and Paula's wedding pictures are also available for viewing.

How lucky am I to have been able to photograph two beautiful weddings back-to-back???

Lucy and Ryan's Wedding Pictures Posted

Jen and I are back from vacation and I'm happy to announce that Lucy and Ryan's wedding pictures are now available for viewing!

Stay tuned for the first draft of the wedding album! ...I'm predicting a beautiful album!

On a personal note...

I'd like to take a moment to say goodbye to good friend. When I moved to Northern CA for my junior year of high school I met and instantly became good friends with Kyle Lauck. Kyle and I shared a similar sense of humor, love for computers and video games, and generally finding a way to laugh at and enjoying whatever life threw our way. After high school, as responsibilities mounted for each of us, we gradually found less and less time to hang out together. We were able a couple of times over the years to go camping and hiking at nearby Mt. Diablo or our favorite: Armstrong Redwoods and Austin Creek. Of course our camping trips were too far and few between and we always swore that we would make a point to go camping more often.

Kyle graduated from The Expression College for Digital Arts and I was always amazed with the video production work he was able to do. The picture above is what Kyle designed for his graduation announcements. As I was also trying to get my photography business going at the time I thought it was one of the wittiest designs I'd ever seen.

Much to Kyle's delight he got a job at EA Games producing video for the Godfather game. Later he went on to work in a production house in San Francisco.

In March Kyle was diagnosed with leukemia and just over a month later passed away. It was very quick and because he was so tired and susceptible to sickness while undergoing chemotherapy most of his friends, myself included, didn't even have the chance to talk to him on the phone.

Kyle was the most accepting and giving person I knew, which is probably why he was always surrounded by friends. Kyle definitely had the gift of gab and, if needed, could carry-on both sides of a conversation (perfect for people like me who don't talk much). You could always count on Kyle for a chat... even if you didn't have anything to talk about. Its very strange knowing that I can never call Kyle again to talk about nothing.

Paula & Johnny's Vintage Wedding

This past Friday, Jen and I photographed Paula and Johnny's wedding at the Los Gatos Opera House. What a beautiful location! As I typically do, I visited the site a few weeks prior and was instantly excited. The facilities themselves were beautiful as well as the surrounding area... lots of photo opportunities! To make it even more exciting was the fact that Paula had coordinated everything so that the wedding was in a classic/vintage style... right up my alley!

I'll be trying to get the pictures posted before Jen and I leave for Acapulco and Cabo, but no promises. To hold you over, click on the thumbnail to the right... and don't miss the hidden image in the background of the bottom... that's Paula's dad giving her a kiss as he gives her away! Awwww....

Congratulations Lucy and Ryan!

Two weekends ago Jen and I shot Lucy and Ryan's wedding... what a blast! Everything came together to make a beautiful day... great weather, nice ceremony, awesome reception, and little bumper cars a la golf carts! :-)

Unfortunately I left for the Japan the next day so I haven't been able to get the pictures posted yet. Hopefully they will be posted soon... watch this site for updates!
